Amazon Project Kuiper
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites in low-Earth orbit.
Project Kuiper’s manufacturing and production teams are at the forefront of satellite technology, building capabilities never seen before. We’re assembling a full-scale production team dedicated to building satellites that bring connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world; we’re manufacturing breakthrough electrical systems that power those satellites in space; and we’re creating critical connections that optimize the flow of data between our satellites and ground stations. We rigorously test all of this technology to ensure our satellites function properly in space and meet the highest quality standards. And we want you to be part of it.
Here, you’ll contribute to groundbreaking projects and unlock opportunities to enhance your skills that propel your career forward. Come take part in revolutionizing satellite manufacturing and help take space technology to the next level.

Steve Metayer, Vice President of Production Operations, Project KuiperJust like our advanced satellite design, we conceived our production line and manufacturing processes fully in-house. We also have a top-tier team delivering consistent, high-quality work every step of the way, allowing us to deliver the performance our customers expect with the safety and value Amazon prioritizes.

The Project Kuiper team is on a mission to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities.
TriciaSpace Simulation Technician IIHow many people can say they got to work on satellites? I knew Project Kuiper was where I wanted to be as soon as I heard about it, so I made it happen.”
As a Space Simulation Technician, Tricia tests and inspects components designed for satellites. “It’s a unique position that allows me to interact with other departments and get insight into different aspects of the process.”
Kuiper’s Space Simulation team conducts screening and testing of satellite hardware across R&D, Proto-Flight, Qualification, and Flight test phases. The state-of-the-art lab is equipped with electrodynamic shakers, thermal vacuum chambers, thermal cycling chambers, and other tools to simulate the space environment.
“Project Kuiper’s mission is truly admirable. Having experienced life in a remote area without internet access, I understand how it feels to be disconnected. It’s fulfilling to bring internet to underserved areas.”
StefanBattery TechnicianI had my eye on Amazon as a potential employer for some time. The perfect opportunity presented itself when I discovered I could apply my skills in aerospace mechanics here at Project Kuiper.”
Stefan is a Battery Technician where he is responsible for building, testing and validating battery pack assemblies that will be integrated on the satellite. He and his team play a crucial role to ensure a safe and reliable battery is delivered that meets all performance specifications. Stefan shares, “Precision is non-negotiable; there is no room for error.”
“Initially drawn to Amazon for stability and career growth, I soon discovered that my role here is more than just a job—it’s a chance to contribute to a larger vision. Project Kuiper has one of the most significant missions I’ve had the privilege to be part of. If you’re someone who thrives in a production environment and is passionate about contributing to the growth of a mission, then this is the place for you.”
SebastianSenior Manufacturing EngineerI work with diverse and high-caliber people who are making history in the satellite and space hardware industry. It’s a demanding environment that guarantees continuous growth.”
One of Sebastian’s proudest moments was being part of a small team that designed the manufacturing facility where all satellites will be produced. Drawing on his expertise in industrial design and aeronautics, he shared, “It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the shell of the building under construction, and to be part of designing the manufacturing flow automation that will be inside the factory.”
At Project Kuiper, teams are encouraged and empowered to build the foundation and establish processes. “When you’re trying to accomplish something as great as Project Kuiper’s mission, you must be willing to try things, even if it they might fail at first. There’s no wrong approach to new technology that doesn’t exist yet. The only regret is not trying.”
