We’re seeking to fill a Sr Financial Analyst role within the Participations department. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Culver City-based team and have an immediate impact on our talent and studio-to-studio reporting, as well as our systems development and library conversion projects.
This role requires a self-starter who can learn quickly. The role supports our day-to-day reporting function and will report to one of the Senior Managers on the team. The job requires that one learn the mechanics of a worldwide production, exhibition and distribution operation, master multiple financial systems, dissect complex agreements, validate the accuracy of financial data, and create bespoke statements. Additionally, this role will assist the enhancement of our new system and conversion of the legacy MGM library into a new reporting environment. The candidate will be involved in reporting across all divisions, including Amazon Originals Movies, Prime Video, International Originals, and Freevee, as well as the MGM+ service, our new theatrical slate and deep catalog.
The candidate must be able to prepare detailed financial analysis, present the results of their work to colleagues and senior leadership, and collaborate well in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. This role has regular interaction with multiple teams across Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video and MGM+ landscape. Excellent oral and written communication skills are crucial, along with sharp analytical competency, an ability to stay organized, think clearly, problem-solve and prioritize. The candidate must think and act both strategically and tactically.


Key job responsibilities
• Interface with an automated reporting system and multiple other financial subsystems
• Manage tasks in an in-house workflow tool
• Generate and/or validate reporting on the Amazon MGM Studios catalog , including Prime Video (Amazon Originals, Branded Originals and International Originals) and Freevee, a well as MGM+, new theatrical titles and the MGM library to talent, licensors, co-financiers, network partners and co-distributors
• Diligence general ledger activity
• Work with Business Affairs and the Legal team concerning new deal set up and contract interpretation
• Manage outbound payments
• Respond to third-party inquiries
• Collect and prepare proper documentation for potential audit
• Support intra-department reporting and data collection efforts
• Support our tech teams on system enhancements and testing

QUALIFICAÇÕES BÁSICAS

- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
