Leonie K., WHS Apprentice

“I was attracted by the mix of theory and practice at Amazon. The things you learn at university can be put into practice almost immediately. It also works the other way around. You can analyze and discuss your practical experiences at school.

There’s no such thing as a normal work day in the area of safety— every day looks different. The tasks vary, starting from carrying out or creating risk assessments to implementing occupational safety campaigns.

Everybody works in a respectful and friendly manner. The people at Amazon are diverse; everyone has a different story and I think that’s what defines Amazon. You can work well in a team here, because nobody is left behind.

The field of safety is much bigger and more varied than you might think. The change between theoretical and practical phases makes the apprenticeship program even more varied and exciting. It’s great, intense, and definitely something special for me.”
