In the background, we index our worldwide catalog of products, deploy highly scalable AWS fleets, and use advanced machine learning to match relevant and interesting products to every customer's query. We provide information, answer questions, and make recommendations to help customers find what they're looking for, and utilize deep learning-based computer vision solutions, like the Amazon App camera search, so customers can easily and quickly search the world around them. International Technology (INTech)▼
We are the INTech family. Great to meet you! We own the discovery and delivery of Amazon’s engineering to all the customers and cultures of the world. We do this through a combination of innovative new projects and partnerships with other Amazon technical teams. We make sure that each of our websites is a thoughtful combination of best practices and unique last mile engineering driven by each country’s customers’ needs. Our technology stack span from front-end customer experience to back-end service technology driving the implementation and adoption of high impact solutions.
At INTech, we build systems to allow our customers to purchase items that require an extra set of verification, for example from government bodies including pet prescription food and aged verification products. Our systems collect information that are legally verified before the final product is shipped to the customers. We have multiple sets of customers, the end consumers and the third party sellers, and we own the entire software life-cycle of a shopping experience from the beginning of the customer journey all the way to the end. The multiyear vision is to build the foundation of new business lines across the EU, progressively expanding to new markets.
Our main used programming language is Java but when needed we switched to different languages for particular projects or problems to be solved on a AWS native environment. Among other things we work on optical recognition and ML capabilities like all Amazon teams, we Work Hard, Have Fun and Make History. And... we are passionate about our people, from ensuring our teams are safe and well to dedicated focus on career and skill development, our priority is our people.

Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS)▼
Powering the online buying experience for global customers, we build the systems that host and run the world’s largest e-Commerce products catalogue. We power the online buying experience for worldwide customers, allowing them to find, discover and buy anything they want. Our massively scaled out systems process hundreds of millions of updates on billions of products across physical, digital, and service offerings.
At ASCS we are the AWS for eCommerce, providing building blocks to assemble to deliver reliable and accurate product information for customers. ASCS is at the edge of capabilities for many AWS services driving innovation across Amazon operating on the largest product catalog in the world. Some of our services are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the AWS services which we run them on.
We continuously stretch the limits of distributed systems and big data processing to solve some of the hardest technical problems and unprecedented scale challenges. Our team develops technologies spanning parallel processing, storage, machine learning, natural language processing, and image recognition to overcome these challenges.
Our customers are both sellers and buyers by increasing the breadth of selection, and the quality of data on that selection, we improve the customer experience. This improved customer experience encourages more customers to the site which increases traffic, as traffic increases more sellers are attracted to the site to sell their products, which in turn helps us to increase our selection. Economies of scale then allows for lowering our cost structure and therefore lowering prices to further increase customer experience.

Mother's Rooms: The room is furnished with an ergo chair, a refrigerator and an "Occupied/Free" sign.
Quiet Rooms: There you will find a sofa and blanket. The room can be used by any Amazonian that would like to have a quiet moment to themselves, such as for a prayer or even a nap. It's just a nice place to escape when needed.
Wellness Room: This room can be used for activities such as yoga. There you will find yoga mats available for use.
Game Area: Game areas can be found on several floors throughout the building. There you will find X-Box or PlayStation, Kicker table, Ping Pong table, Basketball court.
Roof deck / Terrace: On the top floor of the building, you will find a rooftop terrace. There you have the option to catch fresh air, eat lunch or host a small meeting, all while having a great view of Berlin.
