We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Global Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives for our mechanical engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies across designated commodity areas, ensuring operational excellence and innovation in our supply chain.

Key job responsibilities
The Sr. Mechanical Global Commodity Manager leads the mechanical commodity program through strategic partnership with cross-functional teams to manage all mechanical parts and programs.
• Develop a commodity technology roadmap and strategy aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities.
• Responsible for commodity strategy development, supplier selection, qualification and contract negotiation
• Foster a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to influence technical design decisions to meet customer expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectives.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Program Management to assess current and future sourcing requirements
• Lead annual/quarterly executive business reviews, including market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities, etc.
• Analyze commodity spending and drive the cost optimization including cost saving and cost avoidance.
• Drive the copy tool qualification, ramp production and mass production at suppliers
• Manage overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability development, cost, quality and delivery improvements
• Stay current with market trends through analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical advancements, and competitive landscape
• Regular travel to supplier manufacturing facilities required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Superior English communication skills (IELTS 6.5+ or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or strategic sourcing
• Demonstrated expertise in global supply chain management within fast-paced consumer electronics industry
• In-depth knowledge of plastic and metal manufacturing processes (robotics sub-system experience a plus)
• Proven track record in cost optimization initiatives (cost saving and cost avoidance)
• Expert-level proficiency in Should Cost Modeling and cost breakdown analysis for mechanical components
• Demonstrated success in managing production ramp-up under constraints
• Strong logic thinking and leadership in coordinating global teams to resolve complex supply chain challenges
• Proven ability to create and drive business-impact initiatives in process efficiency, cost reduction, and lead time optimization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A bachelor degree in English, Supply Chain Management or Engineering required. overseas Master degree is preferred.
• CPSM and PMP preferred
