Welcome to Amazon
More than 85,000 people work for Amazon in Europe, in our customer service centers, data centers, research and development centers, and fulfillment centers.
Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking.
Customer reviews, one-click shopping, personalized recommendations, Prime, Fulfillment by Amazon, AWS, Kindle Direct Publishing, Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Alexa are some of the products and services we pioneered.

BarbaraAssociateBarbara is a team lead responsible for learning and development.
“Learn and Be Curious is the Leadership Principle guiding my team. Training brings you closer to the processes, inside the problems, while the mind opens up to find solutions. Both research and digging deep are an integral part of our tasks.
Learning means patience, empathy, and proactivity. Amazon firmly believes and invests in each of these—and it’s the most surprising aspect of ‘the logistics temple’ in which we work. The keen attention to the people, their security, and their grasp of new things is a top priority.
So why do I think Amazon is a great place to work? Both for the opportunity it offers in terms of personal and professional growth. I have the concrete chance to better my day, because good ideas get acknowledged and put into practice.”

“The first time I entered the warehouse I was totally fascinated and astounded by the fixation on safety. Right away, I felt quite at home. We’re in a warehouse, but the spaces are comfortable, and the automation of all the processes lightens the load.
You work hard. Changing shifts helps pass the time, and we often hold fun events for employees and their families. It’s a stimulating environment. My coworkers come from across the globe; different cultures mix and compare to one another.
I’ve become a manager of a small unit. The work is heavy but I gain much satisfaction, and it stimulates me every day. I feel lucky working in the same place over the last six years and I can tell the ‘guys’ on my team respect me. Many of us started at the same time, and there’s a great deal of synergy and reciprocal respect.
Often, when people ask me, ‘Where do you see yourself in a few years?’ My answer is always the same: ‘I see myself in a lead role at Amazon.’
I’m thrilled to have risked it all to quit my job in order to embark down this absolutely unknown path, and I have no regrets.”
