Meet Amazonians in Operations and Supply Chain
SergioSenior Manager, Consumer Robotics CommoditiesJoining Devices and Services in 2009 transformed my career. I’ve witnessed our growth from a 50-person team to a global innovator, all while maintaining our entrepreneurial spirit.
The Amazon Leadership Principles (LPs) have been my compass, sharpening my problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities. I’ve found these LPs valuable even outside of Amazon’s walls.
In Ops and Supply Chain, I’ve learned that the best solutions aren’t always the most obvious. I’ve seen firsthand how customer obsession drives our decisions. We’re encouraged to think creatively, looking beyond immediate costs to long-term customer value.
At Amazon, I’ve discovered that anything is possible when we put customers first. It’s not just a job; it’s a journey of continuous innovation and growth.
ColleenDirector, Reverse Supply Chain and LogisticsThe uniqueness of working in Devices and Services was clear in my first months in my role. Having worked in the service part of supply chain, I was always constrained by cost and expense at previous companies.
I remember being in one of my first product meetings at Amazon and arguing a position about the cost of service when a senior leader paused and said, “What’s the right thing to do for the customer? That’s where this decision will start and end.”
I knew right then that Amazon is a special place to work. The vision of being “Earth’s most customer-centric company“ isn’t just words on the wall, but it’s actually the foundation for how we make decisions and spend money.
DarrellPrincipal ACES Program ManagerMy journey with Amazon began in 2017 when I joined Lab126 as a senior program manager for Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES). Over the years, my contributions were recognized through several promotions. In 2022, I advanced to the role of principal program manager for ACES, followed by a promotion in 2023 to principal program manager for NPI, where I supported products for the Hardware Services Engineering team. Most recently, I transitioned to a principal program manager role for ACES, focusing on optimizing resource allocation and driving quality data analytics to produce Amazon Devices at scale.
