North America Consumer Marketing Lead, Project Kuiper
DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will serve a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Project Kuiper is seeking a talented, self-directed brand marketing leader to build and execute our consumer marketing plans across the US and Canada. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast-growing business, working with global and cross-functional colleagues, while end-to-end owning the North America upper funnel marketing plan. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Consumer Marketing, you will work autonomously to deliver successful brand marketing programs across the US and Canada, focused on growing critical brand health metrics including Awareness, Consideration, Preference and Intent. Success in this role will require you to thrive in a highly ambiguous environment, guided by global strategy and leadership feedback as you regularly report on your plans and results up to VP level.
The ideal candidate for this role has the experience and ability to develop large-scale, complex, international marketing strategies and execute at scale through building, managing and influencing internal and external resources and stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
- Define the Brand Marketing strategy for Project Kuiper. Deliver cross-functional marketing plans designed to grow our most critical brand health metrics.
- Build, manage and influence internal and external team resources and support to rapidly and consistently execute world-class marketing campaigns and programs at the highest standard.
- Collaborate with Marketing Intelligence teams to monitor business metrics and regularly report on performance up to VP level, adjusting strategically and tactically as needed.
- Deliver continuous improvement programs which consistently drive increased efficiency and effectiveness across a wide range of key metrics at country and region level.

A day in the life
This is a highly visible, high impact role on the Kuiper Marketing team. You will be a key voice in global decision-making, while end-to-end owning the brand marketing strategy for North America. A typical day will involve strategic decision-making, stakeholder management, organizational growth planning, execution through influencing close partner teams, budget and operational planning, and more. In this role you will be expected to deliver autonomously and under the high degree of ambiguity which accompanies a fast-growing early-stage business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business or equivalent
- Consumer Brand Marketing experience in a technology or telecommunications company, ideally for a new product or service
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives
- MBA
- Experience owning a global brand and driving aggressive brand awareness and growth goals
- Experience leading matrixed virtual teams that create and execute strategic programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
