Reliability Program Manager
DESCRIPTION
Amazon develops innovative consumer-centric product solutions. As a reliability program manager you will be part of an exciting team developing, testing, and delivering products. Your primary responsibility will be the development and implementation of methodologies/techniques to enhance product reliability. You will work closely internal cross-functional teams and outside partners to drive and execute product qualification. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
Key job responsibilities
Job Overview
• Create reliability test plans including resource allocations, validation schedule assumptions, and validation items scope.
• Implement specific validation items in reliability test plans with schedule. Flexible adjustment should be made based on issue occurring and debugging.
• Report reliability execution progress and issues, and track the issues from creation to closure.
• Lead and drive on DFMEA, debugging, failure analysis, DOEs and fixing issues discovered during testing.
• Evaluate and develop reliability test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage.
• Evaluate reliability risks and do escalations to management team.
• Support US Reliability test needs from Proto to post production.
• Lead second source qualification and support factory escalations in reliability. Work with OEM / ODM’s and leverage their resources for research.
• Qualify components manufactured throughout China.
• Travel extensively in China and Asia to support testing.
• Travel to US for training and to support US team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, material engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields.
• 7 year’s minimum experience with Bachelor’s degree or 5 year’s minimum experience with Master’s degree or above in reliability or hardware test for electronic products.
• Experience with leading hardware design development from concept to mass production.
• Good understanding of the principles and basic structures of measuring instruments such as HALT, chambers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters etc.
• Strong technical problem solving skills and experience with failure analysis techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and capability to manage and drive various crossfunctional team members.
• Strong team work spirit (team leader preferred).
• Excellent bi-lingual (Chinese & English) written and verbal communication skills required.
• Good ability in multi-task and handling a large number of tasks at once.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
- Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
