The AWS Data Centre Design Services team is looking for a BIM Client Information Manager to join our highly collaborative leadership team, responsible for all data centre (DC) and ancillary building projects across AWS Americas North and South regions. As a BIM Client Information Manager you will work with a multi-disciplinary team of BIM specialists with a detailed knowledge BIM engineering and construction principals. The BIM Client Information Manager is accountable for BIM deliveries in both design and construction stages consistently achieve industry leading standards and technologies across the AWS DC portfolio, to enable this the team implements BIM technologies and workflows as well as maintaining a suite a BIM documentation.

Key job responsibilities
You must be able to work independently and work within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal teams as well as external suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your duties will include:

* BIM Oversight of all aspects of the Data Center life cycle starting with design, construction, and maintenance of Data Center BIM models.
* Work to establish and maintain a common data environment, along with processes, procedures, and security around the AWS design team’s information exchanges.
* Ensure BIM files meet AWS standards and are following the Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) at all times during the project by reviewing consultant BIM documentation, BIM files, coordinate output formats, and validate data quality, collect design documents and files for projects.
* Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations, from design through construction.
* Assist with establishing and maintaining BIM standards, processes, and workflows as well as Educating and training internal teams in BIM software and procedure.
* Lead discussions in engineering/ construction best practices supporting the wider team by sharing knowledge with a view to establishing new standards.

A day in the life
On a normal day you will review project Revit and Navisworks models assessing model development, modeling standards and practices and adherence to the BIM standards and compile your comments on same. You will then meet with the BIM design or construction project team to review your comments and discuss any BIM relevant items on the project. You will also work with our internal Design Services BIM team to communicate project improvements and to innovate. You may also meet with the wider BIM Client Information Manager team to discuss process improvement, document standards, innovations and project challenges.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of design/construction experience.
• 4+ years of experience working with Revit.
• 2+ years of experience working with Navisworks.
• Experience in the establishment and management of BIM & VDC models including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination and the set-up of model reviews.
• Excellent organization skills in archival & maintenance operations of project documents.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction.
• Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction.
• Experience and knowledge applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production.
• Experience exporting of embedded data and schedules from BIM models to spreadsheets.
• Experience with the following software tools: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, Solibri and Procore.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
