We are looking for an Sr. Technical Program Manager (TiPM) with a strong delivery record and deep program management experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional operations and technology projects. This role will work across various internal teams and external service providers to evaluate coverage across multiple global geographies and across multiple disciplines/categories. The Sr. Technical Program Manager (TiPM) combines high-level management of a network of 3rd party JWO providers. The Sr. Technical Program Manager (TiPM) will be responsible for building relationships with direct Amazon providers, identifying gaps in coverage and service level, and managing the performance of Just Walk Out Providers, a group of certified and trusted companies capable of working directly with 3P customers to design and build JWO stores. The role includes managing the intake, information collection, due diligence, onboarding, performance review and ongoing governance of the JWO Provider Network - to drive improvements to vendors’ service performance. You will work with teams across JWO to manage relationships with JWO 3rd party providers and drive service improvements across a global portfolio of infrastructure deployments. You will lead cross-organizational business reviews with our 3rd party providers, lead the development and implementation of infrastructure risk reduction and mitigation projects. You will drive projects and initiatives that deliver better experiences for internal customers and our 3rd party providers, and scale how the team manages its responsibilities. In this role, you will also act as a subject matter expert on JWOS’s service relationships with these providers and on their overall service performance.

The successful candidate will possess solid business judgment, with a track record of strong provider management, program management skills, internal/external relationship management, and experience in physical retail end to end processes. You'll need to be adept at breaking down intricate problems, synthesizing data-driven insights, and crafting clear, measurable implementation and process improvement plans. Additionally, the ability to effectively communicate your vision and recommendations to senior leadership is essential. Key job responsibilities

- Lead cross-organizational business reviews with key infrastructure providers
- Lead development and implementation of infrastructure risk reduction and mitigation solutions
- Identify and drive targeted improvement initiatives to raise service performance with specific providers
- Manage the commercial and operational relationships with key infrastructure providers
- Empower internal customer teams like Implementation Management, Construction Engineering, Design Management by facilitating issue resolution and ongoing performance improvement efforts with key infrastructure providers
- Lead design and implementation of initiatives and process improvements that deliver better experiences for internal customers and our JWO 3rd party providers, and scale how the team manages its responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on AWS’s commercial relationship with infrastructure providers and on these providers’ overall service performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree.
- 6+ years of relevant provider/vendor onboarding and training experience
- 6+ years of technical infrastructure program management experience
- 6+ years of working directly with architecture, construction, engineering and program management team experience
- 6+ Technical program management experience working directly with cross functional engineering and program teams, building processes and operational improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Lean/Six Sigma experience
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills within Product Management, Physical Retail or Technology environments.
- Management of a network of certified global service providers (as distinct from direct Amazon vendors)
- Ability to manage provider management responsibilities (where Amazon manages provider performance but is not the “customer”)
- Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of Excel, Procore, Construction Documents, Revit, and Smartsheets.
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
