About Milton Keynes

What's good to know

Milton Keynes is a modern city that lies midway between London and Birmingham. It's a place that has something for everyone with everything from great parks, roads, schools and hospitals to being a business hub and offering plenty of choice in terms of culture, arts, entertainment and shopping.

Adrenaline junkies can sample rock climbing walls, the country's biggest indoor real snow slope and Europe's first purpose-built body flying tunnel at the Xscape centre. You can also do wakeboarding, waterskiing, windsurfing and power-boating at the local water-sports centre.

Nearby Woburn boasts a world-famous abbey, with a 3,000-acre deer park and 22 acres of gardens that are open to the public. There's also Woburn Safari Park for people who prefer to watch wildlife on a larger scale. The surrounding countryside is home to countless beautiful villages, steeped in history and bustling with independent shops, restaurants, art galleries and farmers' markets.

Amazon Fulfilment Centre and Imaging Studio

Milton Keynes is home to two Amazon facilities: a fulfilment centre in Ridgmont and an imaging studio at Crownhill Business Centre on Vincent Avenue in Milton Keynes. The two facilities are within 10 miles of each other.

Ridgmont is a small village that sits in Bedfordshire, England. Near Milton Keynes, it is located near a motorway and railway line and is close to both London and Birmingham. Amazon’s Marston Gate fulfilment centre occupies the site of Ridgmont’s former brickworks near the railway station and is around the size of seven and a half football pitches – that’s over 51,000 square metres.
