Principal Portfolio Manager - Industry Solutions
DESCRIPTION
The Industry Solutions team within AWS Professional Services is responsible for the strategy, development, and management of industry-specific offerings, solutions, and products (OSP). We serve as a catalyst for ProServe's industry innovation at scale, accelerating customer value and driving sustainable growth through a diverse portfolio of assets. Collaborating closely with the AWS industry field organization, we develop scalable assets that can be deployed across global customers to expedite their outcomes on AWS.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
We are seeking a Principal Portfolio Manager to lead our portfolio of industry-specific offerings, solutions, and products. In this role, you will be accountable for key portfolio metrics, including customer business outcomes, revenue generation, and builder productivity improvements.
Key job responsibilities
* Define Voice of Customer (VoC), analyze market opportunities, and conduct competitive (SWOT) analysis
* Generate and source innovative ideas from field teams while identifying strategic differentiators
* Lead the idea intake process and backlog management in coordination with field teams
* Author PR FAQs and narratives to define product requirements
* Develop and manage product/feature roadmaps, including user story prioritization
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to create integrated product solutions
* Partner with engineering and UX design teams on software component development
* Work with go-to-market teams on solution branding, packaging, and pricing strategies
* Provide ongoing product support and maintenance
* Gather and implement customer feedback to evolve feature roadmap

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
8+ Years of experience architecting, designing and developing cloud native solutions
8+ years experience in designing and delivering cloud based solutions for industry vertical workloads.
8+ years of product, program management experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience leading product and solutions portfolio in a Professional Services organization
Executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
