Erding is a town in Bavaria, Germany located around 31 kilometers northeast of central Munich, about a 30-minute drive by car.

In 1972, Erding was connected to the Munich's S-Bahn network. The Franz Josef Strauss Airport – more commonly known as Munich airport – opened in 1992 and has since attracted many new businesses to the area.
