Cloppenburg is the largest town in the District of Cloppenburg and has a population of 34,500. Located in Lower Saxony, Cloppenburg is home to the largest bicycle manufacturing plant in Germany and the Museum of Cloppenburg, a large open-air museum that contains a collection of buildings to show the rural life of the region as it was in the 18^th century.
