Principal Software Engineer , Amazon WW Promotions

The Worldwide Deals and Promotions team is looking for an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer (PE) to deliver a technical vision to raise the bar for WW promotions. You will work on a broad set of customer problems, inspect existing systems in a new organization and create a compelling technical vision to consolidate. Your vision will provide the architectural flexibility required to innovate in the space, by unifying the quality bar for WW promotions.
The role will be responsible for the consolidation of the WW Promotions tech stack, ensuring our promotions optimize customer experience! Your vision will unify promotion services, guiding a team of engineers to ensure the services continue to serve millions of customers with exciting, personalized promotions every day.
This role will work with senior leaders across the WW Promotions organization to realize this vision, incorporating the need to deliver designs that take into account annual increases in promotion items and WW events driving huge traffic like Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday!
GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN
Experience of working as a Principle Engineer or equivalent
Experienced in building services on Cloud services or Hybrid platforms
Experience of Ecommerce platforms
Experienced mentor and coach to technical leaders
Experience of building relationships and influencing senior leaders
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN
Building services related to discounts and promotions
Experience in building services with Machine Learning
