Solve high-impact science and engineering problems
The Stores Economics and Science (SEAS) Team is an interdisciplinary applied science organization with focus areas in operations research, economics, AI/machine learning (ML), and statistics.
We partner with business and engineering teams in problem spaces with high research risk; incubate scientific products and science teams; and pursue scientific problems that require collaboration across scientific fields. These engagements range from short-term one-off advice and analysis to long-run, high-risk projects involving state-of-the-art methods in econometrics, ML, and reinforcement learning (RL).
Our team is comprised of applied scientists, economists, product managers, program managers, and software engineers. Our scientists include both full-time and part-time Amazon Scholars—faculty at academic institutions—who advise and guide scientists and teams across Amazon.
We’re looking for engineers, scientists, and scholars who can help raise the bar for interdisciplinary science at Amazon.
