Corporate Counsel
Our roles
Niche attorneys work on teams that focus on their area of expertise, e.g. commercial litigation, intellectual property, commercial real estate, labor and employment, etc. The teams hire candidates with specific, niche experience, and the roles are narrowly focused in a particular practice area.
Corporate generalist attorneys work as mini general counsels for the businesses they support. The positions are often transactional in nature but evolve with the needs of the business. Some corporate generalists do deeper transactional work, others do more product counseling or compliance- or data privacy-type work, and some do a mixture.

It was the freedom to evolve within the role that captivated me... You often get stuck in one role at many companies. But Amazon is unique. They encourage change within the company. It’s really enlightening to have your manager invested in your professional growth and still be supportive of any future changes. Most of my managers have grown into other roles so seeing that is what sold me.

At Amazon, I’m challenged to provide counsel on cutting edge issues. I’ve found frequent opportunities to grow—both in skill and scope—combined with support from leaders to thrive and trust to operate independently.
