Become a trusted leader

Pathways is a three-year career accelerator and leadership program. Designed for candidates currently pursuing an MBA master’s degree (or doctorate degree in some countries).

Pathways leaders achieve their goals while making a positive impact on millions of people around the world. We’re seeking problem solvers, innovators, and go-getters who are ready for roles that aren’t typical desk jobs. You’ll use data to make business decisions, while providing your teams with tools to succeed.

Bring your expertise and leadership skills, and we’ll give you the support you need to build your dream career.

Make a global impact

Pathways recruits talent across Europe, with opportunities available in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Note: As our Pathways leaders are supporting large teams, a strong command of the local language (CEFR B2) is required in most countries.

Pathways career progression

  • Summer Internship

The Pathways Leadership Internship is a 10 -12 week, full-time program. As an intern, you’ll be assigned to a site in our operations network and take on a high-level leadership project to expose you to complex execution. Guided by your mentor, you’ll learn first hand what it means to lead large teams within Amazon Operations. At the end, you’ll present your innovative findings to senior management based on your observations, hands-on involvement, and analytical research.

  • Area Manager (Full-time)

When you join the full-time Pathways program, you’ll be onboarded as an Area Manager. In this front-line leadership role, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge of our processes and lay the foundation to become an authentic, trusted leader. Plus manage a team of 50-100 people.

  • Pathways Operations Manager (Full-time)

After leading your team through the first holiday peak, you’ll become a Pathways Operations Manager. In this role, you’ll gain experience leading other managers and around 400 team members. You’ll collaborate with Amazon’s tech and engineering teams to drive operational improvements. Once promoted to Senior Operations Manager, you’ll lead initiatives across regions in our network.

Recruiting timeline

The recruitment process begins in the fall, with start dates the following year. A dedicated recruiter will guide you through the entire four-week process. Interviews can be virtual or in-person based on your role type.

While there’s no deadline to apply, we recommend submitting your application as early as possible. The program offers roles in multiple locations, which successful candidates can choose from based on availability.
