Amazon Pathways
Do you want to become a leader in a global company? Do you want to manage challenging problems with global impact while coaching hundreds of employees? As part of the Pathways Operations Leadership Development Program, you can be on track to reach senior levels within Amazon Operations.

Become a trusted leader
Pathways is a three-year career accelerator and leadership program designed for candidates currently pursuing an MBA degree (or doctorate degree in some countries).
Pathways leaders achieve their goals while making a positive impact on millions of people around the world. We’re seeking problem solvers, innovators, and go-getters who are ready for roles that aren’t typical desk jobs. You’ll use data to make business decisions while providing your teams with tools to succeed.
Bring your expertise and leadership skills, and we’ll give you the support you need to build your dream career.
Make a global impact
Pathways hires in the following geographic areas (based on business need):
- North America: Canada and the United States
- Europe: Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom
- Asia: India and Japan
Language Requirement
Strong proficiency in the local language (CEFR B2 level or higher) is required for most countries, as effective communication is essential for these global leadership positions.
Location Requirement
Pathways offers dynamic opportunities across multiple locations within your country of hire. As a Pathways leader, you’ll manage large, diverse teams at various Amazon sites, with placement determined by business requirements.

Pathways career progression
Internship
Interns will be assigned to a site in our operations network. You’ll complete a project that exposes you to high-level leadership and complex projects. Your internship will last 10 to 12 weeks. At the end, you can be considered to return as a full-time Pathways leader after you complete your graduate studies.
Operations Manager
After an initial area manager experience, you’ll lead teams of 300 to 500 members, or a new site or business type. You’ll improve operations process efficiency, supported by our engineering and tech teams.
Senior Operations Manager
You’ll move on to become an operations leader, using your analytical skills and operational and leadership experience. You’ll execute initiatives in supply chain and transportation and logistics.
Recruiting process
Recruitment begins in the fall, with start dates the following year. A dedicated recruiter will guide you through the entire four-week process. Interviews can be virtual or in-person based on your role type.
While there’s no deadline to apply, we recommend submitting your application as early as possible. The program offers roles in multiple locations, which successful candidates can choose from based on availability.
1. Apply
Applicants must have a master’s degree as well as at least three years of complex, professional work experience, excluding any internships or student jobs. Look for jobs that fit your interests and skills.
2. Online Assessment
If our recruiting team wants to move forward, you’ll be asked to do an online assessment (OA). It puts you in real Amazon situations so we can learn more about you.
3. Interview
Amazon interviews focus on past experiences to assess your potential performance. Interviewers ask about specific situations and then follow up with additional questions.
4. Offer
After your interview, our team will let you know your result within five business days. If you get an offer, it’ll include the location, benefits, and start date.
